Learning is fun, but you have to work at it. At my age people may consider you either an old fool or some kind of sage. I do have a suggestion for my younger friends. It's fun, and it's not hard to do. READ GREAT BOOKS!
Reading is never a waste of time, if you are enjoying it. Reading a classic for the first time can be a challenge. I remember trying to read Moby Dick after seeing the movie when I was only 12 years old. I did not get very far. Many classic novels are easy to read and reading them again later in life demonstrates that the reader brings his own life into the reading experience. Here is a short list of classic books I have enjoyed. The following were easy to read: To Kill A Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, Where the Red Fern Grows, Robinson Crusoe, The Red Badge of Courage, Huckleberry Finn, A Tale of Two Cities, The Old Man and the Sea, and The Pearl.
